Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance | Specs You Need to Know 🔥

The Mercedes C63 E-Performance is a 4-cylinder car with a plug-in hybrid engine. Here, the 2.0L Turbo 4 (M139) can produce 476HP independently. It uses an electric turbocharger. The C63 is paired with a rear-mounted electric motor to make 204HP. Mercedes says it can drive 8 miles in EV mode. Combined, we get 680HP and 752 lb-ft (1020Nm) of torque, 0-60 in a not-super-fast 3.3sec, and a 174MPH top speed, slower than the V8 C63. It features multiple "exhaust enhancing" speakers to compensate for the lack of a V8. It is paired to a 9-speed multi-clutch gearbox, and the e-motor has a separate 2-speed unit. As well it offers 4Matic+ AWD. Additionally, the Mercedes C63 S E performance weighs 700 pounds more than the previous generation with a total of 4,600 lbs curb weight. AMG standard brakes, an adaptive suspension, several drive modes, rear steering up to 2.5 degrees below 62 mph, and more are found underneath the vehicle's exterior. It will go on sale in Europe as a 2023 model next year, but the US will get it in late 2023 as a 2024 model. Through two control pods on the steering wheel, the Mercedes C63's engine and drivetrain, three-position adaptive dampers, steering sensitivity, and stability control can all be adjusted using eight different drive modes. The rear drive unit contributes 25% of its potential in Comfort mode, 65% in Sport, and 80% in Sport+ and Race, even though the kick-down boost is always available. Additional modes include Individual, Slippery, and Electric, as well as Battery Hold, which increases the gas engine used to maintain the desired charge level. From zero to nearly one-pedal operation, four levels of regenerative braking are activated by tapping the right steering wheel pod.

The lightweight material reduces unsprung masses and saves additional weight. Hill starting assistance and priming/dry braking in slick conditions are comfort features. The transmission automatically chooses the parking position "P" when the ignition is off, and the car is stopped. As you start to move away, the electric parking brake automatically releases. As an alternative, a ceramic high-performance composite braking system is offered.
